The concept of the coin is recognition of the symbolism that the “1911” dental caduceus is on one side and the contemporary “2011” dental caduceus is on the other; reminding coin holders of the 100 year heritage of the U.S. Army Dental Corps. The 1911 version may be new information to many in the family of Army dentistry.
